Carroll - Small Town Charm
Nestled in the rolling hills of Wayne County, Carroll is a quaint, welcoming town with a peaceful rural vibe. The school district is consolidated with Wayne, and local businesses such as the bank and convenience store, are community fixtures. Carroll is also known for the annual Cars-N-Carroll Show & Shine, a highlight each September.
Winside - History and Tradition

Emerson - A Unique Three-County Town
Located where Dixon, Dakota, and Thurston Counties meet, Emerson is the only Nebraska town to span three counties. The town hosts the Tri-County Days celebration each summer, along with other amenities like a municipal pool and several parks.

Martinsburg - Burgers in the Burg
Located between Ponca and Wayne, Martinsburg is a small village known for its main attraction, Bob’s Bar. National attention has been given to the huge hamburgers and plates of sides offered at this little dive bar. In addition to the burgers, recreational opportunities are located nearby such as Buckskin Hills State Wildlife Management Area.
Ponca - Outdoor Adventure Along the Missouri River
Ponca is famous for its outdoor adventures, particularly at Ponca State Park, a popular spot for camping, fishing, and boating. The annual Missouri River Outdoor Expo draws school groups and nature enthusiasts, while the Highland Oaks Golf Course and Days of ’56 Rodeo bring even more excitement to this thriving community.

Dixon - A Rural Gem
Situated on the western edge of Dixon County, Dixon is a small village . Events at Central Park and the Community Center are local favorites, and visitors enjoy exploring Tarbox Hollow Living Prairie and grabbing a bite at Eunie’s Palace for its popular pizza nights.

Concord - The Home of the Dixon County Fair
Concord is the proud host of the Dixon County Fair each July, bringing the community together for this yearly tradition. With the Concord City Park and proximity to the University of Nebraska Haskell Ag Lab, Concord is a fantastic spot for those interested in local agriculture and research.
Wisner - Events and Recreation Along the Elkhorn River
Located along the Elkhorn River, Wisner is a lively community known for hosting events like the Wisner Jr. Sr. Livestock Show, St. Patrick’s Day Celebration, and Thunder By The River—one of the largest local truck and tractor pulls. The town also offers River Park, tennis courts, sand volleyball, a public swimming pool, and the Wisner Auditorium for year-round activities.

Known for its resilience after the twin tornadoes of 2014, Pilger has since rebuilt its community and spirit. The town now features the Cooper Family Community Center, a new Public Library, and the Pilger Pride C-store.
